what you actually pay
Starlink briefly added a £10/month hardware rental charge in June 2026, then removed it. The monthly price below is now the full price, no separate rental to add on top. Hardware is provided free as a rental (returned if you cancel) or can be bought outright for £299, with no difference to the monthly cost either way.

Professional installation and set-up is included as standard, even where extra groundwork is needed (up to 20 metres, subject to survey), with nothing extra to pay on top. A Starlink installation, if you don't self-install, can cost up to £435+VAT on top of the monthly price.
Beyond installation, MT Fibre also includes lifetime equipment replacement, next-day fault fix, a free Home Wi-Fi Visit whenever you need one, and a local team to call when something goes wrong, none of which are included with Starlink.
There's another cost that used to sit on top of a fibre install. If your property needed extra groundwork to connect, that was previously chargeable. We've removed that cost. Civil engineering works up to 20 metres from the network are now covered as standard on eligible properties, even where ducting isn't already in place, on a 36-month Fibre plan and subject to survey.

Not once you compare like for like. Every MT Fibre price already includes professional installation, so the fairest comparison is the full cost, not just the sticker price. Add a professional install to Starlink (quoted on Get Connected IM website at ~£522 all-in) and, over a 24-month term, MT Fibre 100 works out around £90 cheaper overall, and MT Fibre 200 around £356 cheaper. At the Max/500Mb tier the two come out roughly level. This is based on choosing a professional installer for Starlink; self-install is free, and if you go that route Starlink's monthly price stays lower at every tier. Fibre 1000 has no Starlink equivalent at any price.
Yes, particularly on upload. MT Fibre offers up to 200 Mbps upload; Starlink is capped at 20–40 Mbps regardless of plan. MT Fibre 1000 also offers speeds no Starlink residential plan matches.
Starlink performance can be affected by heavy rain, storms and snow accumulation on the dish. Fibre, delivered through protected cables, isn't affected by weather.

It's included for every MT Fibre customer, at install or any time after, with no charge. Starlink offers online support only, with no equivalent in-home visit.
Check your postcode on our fibre availability page. If it shows as needing a survey, ask about FibreTrack, we may be able to fund extra groundwork. If fibre isn't available at all yet (not released in your area), FibreTrack can't help with that, it only applies once fibre has reached your property.
Not necessarily. If your property is categorised as needing civil engineering work (usually a blocked duct or buried cabling), we'll cover works up to 20 metres from the network at your property boundary at no extra cost, on a 36-month Fibre plan and subject to survey. This is limited to one funded installation per customer every 36 months, and needs the property owner or landlord's permission before work starts. Not sure if you qualify? You'll typically need explicit landlord consent for an external dish, plus a clear, largely unobstructed sky view. MT Fibre needs only a small external junction box, and where fibre is already connected to a property, further landlord approval usually isn't needed.
